Louise Tucker - Beethoven

In 1982, Louise Tucker, an English opera singer, got some hit over here with “Midnight Blue”.

I tagged it with “Classical Music” as it is heavily inspired by a classical piece of music.

Indeed the melody comes entirely from the “Adagio Cantabile”, a movement in the “Piano Sonata No. 8” also known as “Sonata Pathétique” by Ludwig van Beethoven. Here played by Daniel Barenboim, one of the greatest pianists, polyglot and citizen of Argentina, Israel, Palestine and Spain.
